Piyush Mishra Early life
Piyush Mishra aka Priyakant Sharma was staying with his aunt Taradevi, his father’s elder sister. He was adopted by his Aunt Taradevi as they have no children and grew up in Gwalior. Later, his family came to him and admitted him to Carmel Convent School, Gwalior for better education. But his reach was not on that excellent education, his mind was searching for something different, another world of singing, dancing, painting, and acting.

Piyush Mishra was born and grew up in Gwalior and moved to his aunt’s house as an adopted son. He attends his elementary education at Carmel Convent School, Gwalior, and moved to JC Mills Secondary School at Gwalior.
After completing his matric, he took the entrance exam to move out from Gwalior. He moved to Delhi for admission National School of Drama and passed out in 1986 as a graduate.
Career
He started his writing in the eighth standard. He changed his name in the Tenth Standard from Priyakant Sharma to Piyush Mishra by affidavit in court.
Piyush got a chance of making lyrics in the first year of the NSD. Thereafter, he got the chance of acting in the second year when German director, Fritz Bennewitz, directed him in the Title role in Hamlet and introduce him to the acting world.
After graduating from the National School of Drama in 1986, he started his job as an artist in theatre in Delhi, and in 1990, they started Act One named theatre group.

Then he made himself a theater director by directing the comedy Terror. He moved to Mumbai for acting in various TV series like Rajdhani(1989), Bharat Ek Khoj(1988), and Horror Serial Kile KA Rahasya and thereafter he returned to Delhi.

Piyush Debuted as an actor in Dil Se in the role of CBI officer and portrayed his role as a CBI Investigating Officer.
His transition from playwright to screenwriter happened in the film ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh film dialogue in 2001 and won the Zee Cine Awards(2003) for this work.
In 2002, He moved to Mumbai for making his career as a lyricist, screenwriter, and actor. he started writing lyrics for Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar, Black Friday, Aaja Nachle, and Tashan. He made many films and still doing it actively.
